Faced with competition from primitive, home-baked web CMS's, Tangora Software in 2004 launched Contigo CMS to provide a professional, yet easy-to-configure web CMS.

Contigo CMS was one of the first products that was only available as Software-as-a-Service, and quickly became one of the most popular solutions in its home market of Denmark.
